Te Kuiti/North King Country SPCA is a voluntary, non profit organisation.

We are funded by donations from the communities we serve. These donations provide:

Vet care
Food
Vehicle expenses
Desexing contributions
Education

If you are interested in making a donation, please be aware that all SPCA organisations in New Zealand are financially independent; donations are not distributed from a 'central office' and must be made directly to each branch.

We are proud to have a fully qualified Inspector. Inspector Michell Sanders is available to offer advice on the following:

Animal welfare issues (all calls confidential)
Animal adoptions
The rehoming of unwanted pets
The de-sexing of animals
Education

People often ask where our shelter is, and the answer is: we don't have one!

Animals that come into our care are placed into foster homes with loving families. The pets enjoy the personal service! This foster method enables us to better assess an animal's temperament and personality. By getting to know the animals in our care we can be confident of matching the right animal to the right owner, resulting in a happy outcome for all.

If you want to visit any animals we have advertised this can be arranged through our Adoption Officer.

Thanks to our dedicated group of volunteers for their effort and commitment. Thanks too, for the generous and ongoing support of community members and businesses who keep us going.
